PICTURE QUILT
This was a picture quilt I designed and made for a school auction.
Each quilt block is made up of a picture of one of the kids from the class. I used fabric printing squares which allow you to print a photo directly onto a fabric square which runs through your printer. After printing simply tear the backing off the sheet and you have a great picture on an 8 1/2 X 11 fabric square which you can then sew your fabric border onto.
Two families split the bid on the quilt and then donated it back to the school. It hangs in one of the classrooms at the Montessori School of Lake Forest in Lake Forest, Illinois.
